A UUCP connection gives you access to Internet e-mail and usenet newsgroups,
while isolating your computer from the outside world. It also allow you
minimize the amount of time you are connected to another system, keeping
phone costs as low as possible.
E-Mail UUCP (no cost) - a dial-in uucp account providing an
e-mail only feed to your machine. Allows up to 10 hours per month of
connect time. Additional time is billed at $1/hour. This is available
to any valid uucp site.
Limited UUCP ($10/month or $100/year) - a dial-in uucp
account providing an e-mail and news feed to your machine. Allows up
to 20 hours per month of connect time. Additional time is billed at
$1/hour.
Basic UUCP ($20/month or $200/year) - a dial-in uucp
account providing an e-mail and news feed to your machine. Allows up
to 45 hours per month of connect time. Additional time is billed at
$1/hour.
Enhanced UUCP ($30/month or $300/year) - Same access as
a basic UUCP account, but up to 90 hours per month of connect time.
Additional time is billed at $1/hour.
Extended UUCP ($50/month or $500/year) - Same access as
a basic UUCP account, but up to 200 hours per month of connect time.
Additional time is billed at $1/hour.
Only available to systems using 28.8K baud (or better).
Full UUCP ($200/month or $2000/year) - Unlimited feed of
the eight major news hierarchies (comp, humanities, misc, news, rec,
talk, sci, soc) and e-mail.
